As a result of the second pay commission's recommendation Govt. of india decided to establish Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools).These Vidyalayas are run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan(Central School organisation)sponsored by the ministry of human resource and development with the sole object of providing education facilities to the children of defence personnels , central Govt.employees and employees of autonomous bodies who are liable to be transferred from one state to another .
